YOUR CHOICE
Website analytics.
We use optional analytics to understand how this website is used and make it more useful. Analytics starts only after you choose Allow analytics. You can say no and use the whole website as usual.
What we measure
- Page-view totals, broad referral categories, and screen-size categories.
- Counts of enquiry-link and email-link clicks, and whether a page was scrolled halfway or nearly to the end.
- Average page-load time and time a page remained visible.
What we do not record
Our analytics does not assign visitor identifiers, record your screen, build browsing profiles, or save names, email addresses, visitor IP addresses, full referrer URLs or URL query strings. Each measurement updates an hourly counter; we do not keep a raw visitor-event history.
Your choice, at any time
Use Analytics settings in the footer to turn analytics on or off. Your choice is remembered in this browser using local storage solely to honour that choice. Clearing browser storage resets it. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice lasts for the current page. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track settings override analytics permission.
Where the statistics are kept
The analytics service is hosted on Railway. Its dashboard is restricted to authorised administrators. Aggregate statistics are retained for up to 180 days, then deleted automatically. The website and hosting/security providers may separately process connection information to deliver and protect the service.
External services and enquiries
These analytics settings apply to our optional statistics. The contact page includes a Google Maps embed, which connects to Google and is separate from this analytics system. Email enquiries are sent through your email provider; clicking an email link does not send the message automatically.
